All Are Welcome
We're glad you found us! Please join us for worship service Sunday at 9:00 AM. We
also invite you for fellowship and coffee after the service. The
church is located in the center of Tinmouth, Vermont at the intersection of
Vermont Route 140 and Mountain View Road. We are a community church and we welcome everybody.
The church is the setting for special community events throughout the
year, notably the Thanksgiving celebration on the Sunday afternoon
preceding Thanksgiving and the Christmas Eve gathering. On other
days or evenings you may find a delicious ham dinner, or a craft show,
or an art show, or many other activities. These events are put on
by local members of the community but they are intended to
introduce you in fun ways to Tinmouth.
We
are as diverse as the Town of Tinmouth: we are old-timers and
newcomers, carpenters and loggers, dairy farmers and maple
syrup-makers, teachers, business owners and engineers both active and
retired, secretaries, contractors, nurses, conservationists. We
are Republican, Independent and Democrat, gay and straight. Many
of us claim no organized denomination and some of us are United
Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Unitarian, Roman Catholic,
Lutheran, United Church of Christ and Quaker. We are
happy to welcome a dozen
attendees from towns as far as 35 minutes away. Church
attendance now averages about thirty on an ordinary Sunday with twice
that number or more for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other special
gatherings. And
now we are happy to welcome you!
