TINMOUTH CHURCH HANDBELLS

The church is home for a two-octave set of English handbells and a two-octave set of melodychimes to match.  These were purchased by Tinmouth community members and church members making generous donations as well as a Tinmouth Community Fund grant - a true community effort.  The bells were placed in service at a handbell celebration on August 22, 2009, culminating in a concert that evening with about 100 enthusiastic concert goers and participants, and followed by an old fashioned ice cream social in the Community Room.  The entire congregation and  community thank Nancy Noble for leading this effort and for having faith that the people of Tinmouth would support it.

Now moving forward, the first bell choir is meeting on a regular basis, Sunday mornings at 10:15, after the Sunday worship service.  Plans are that this group will play bells during the service once a month.  Brian Gottschalk is the director, and the group is doing quite well for beginners.
